Below is a list of tutorials utilizing AMBER to perform a background determination and background subtraction. Some of these require additional packages and data to function. For those notebooks, links to the and installation requirements are highlighted.

  • Showcasing of AMBER utilizing synthetic neutron scattering data
    • Generate signal data
    • Define 3D grid domain
      • Introduction of NaN-values
      • Add background
    • Plot a constant energy plot
    • Plot a constant H map
    • Run denoising algorithm
      • Set algorithm parameters (\(\lambda, \beta, \mu\))
      • Run the denoising algorithm using the parameters obtained using the heuristic
    • Compute substracted signal
    • Display substracted signal
    • Compare the signal with the subtracted signal in a 1D cut
  • Simulate Neutron Scattering Data
    • Define needed functions for dispersion and SpinWave smearing
      • Generate CAMEA Data files
    • Addition of noise and background
      • Utilizing some MJOLNIR features to showcase the data
      • Initialize AMBER background
      • Minimize RMSQ for beta
    • Minimization methods
      • Generation of AMBER background
    • Create 1D cuts with overplotting
